It is essential to use advanced multimaterials to further the competitiveness of the automotive business

The second international event hosted by AIC where 100 professionals will gather to discuss major technological developments

Bilbao, 14.9.2018--  AIC- the Automotive Intelligence Center, Tecnalia and Mondragon Unibertsitatea will host the second 2018 Seminar on Advanced Multimaterials for the Automotive Business to be held on October 2 at AIC that will bring together 100 professionals from the field.


Major investments are being made in the automotive sector to make cleaner,  lighter vehicles without undermining their safety. Car manufacturers are facing up to the challenge by implementing a multi-material strategy and using the most suitable material for each component. The purpose of this seminar is to address this strategy by focusing on concepts such as market trends, weight reduction, composites or joining technologies.


Therefore, expertise will be provided by companies and organisations such as  EUCAR, Scope, A2Mac1, Arcelor, Edertek, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Fagor Arrasate, Astar, Gestamp, Krausmaffei, Atlas Copco, DoW Automotive Systems or Tecnalia who will present their view on future trends in this field. There will also be parts on display from the Jaguar F-Pace and Audi Q5 to discover the solutions already available in the market.
