The Automotive & Sustainable Mobility Open Day, held last Saturday, September 28th, was a resounding success with more than 1,700 people attending, organised by ACICAE-Basque Automotive Cluster, in collaboration with AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
The aim of this initiative was for society in general, and young people in particular, to gain first-hand knowledge of the Basque automotive sector, the advantages of having it in the territory, the technological trends in vehicles, the way companies work and the professional opportunities it offers.
In this sense, AIC, in Amorebieta-Etxano, concentrated all kinds of actions, with recreational activities for children and educational activities for young people and adults. Activities included Formula 1 / bicycle simulators, electric go-karts, scalextric, exhibition of classic cars (Mercedes, Porsche, etc.), Legos, electric bicycle testing, road safety circuit, gymkhana, vehicle benchmark, Formula Student teams, AI workshops, bicycles, etc.
Guided visits to companies such as CIE Automotive, Gestamp, CAF, Innovalia or Protio, as well as to AIC competence centres, are worth mentioning.
