AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center, in collaboration with ACICAE-Basque Automotive Cluster, we would like to invite you to a new BENCHMARK DAY that we will be organising on November, 26th, aimed at analysing vehicle design and manufacturing strategies.
In this edition we will focus on comparing the electrification strategy of Chinese OEMs against European and American manufacturers and we will have the opportunity to see the BYD SEAL vehicle, a high-end sports car with the price of a conventional saloon, designed and manufactured by one of the main Chinese OEMs.
In this context, AIC’s technical team has been working on the disassembly and analysis of this vehicle and during the day we will focus specifically on the disassembly of the E-Powertrain (Engine, Inverter, Gearbox, VCU, PDU, OBC,…), High Voltage Battery System, Front and Rear Axles, as well as visualizing Interior Elements.
In addition to being able to physically see the parts, the day will include a presentation from the Competitive Intelligence Unit of AIC where, among others, the following points will be addressed:
- Market overview with a focus on electrification.
- Comparison of Tesla Model Y, VW ID.4 Crozz, BMW iX and BYD SEAL vehicles, including:
- Front and rear axles
- E-Powertrain
- Battery system (structural technologies, cooling, cells, etc.)
- Conclusions of the dynamic tests carried out with the BYD SEAL
In addition to the public event, a private session will be available for an in-depth look at the BYD, including:
- Detailed presentation of the BYD Seal
- BYD Exploded view of the BYD in a virtual environment, focusing on the 8-1 concept of the rear axle Power-Pack and battery system
- Unlimited access to the exhibition for 4 hours.

Desde AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center, en colaboración con ACICAE-Cluster de Automoción de Euskadi, queremos hacerte partícipe de una nueva JORNADA BENCHMARK que organizaremos el 26 de noviembre, destinada a analizar estrategias de diseño y fabricación de vehículos.
En esta presente edición pondremos el foco en comparar la estrategia de electrificación de OEMs chinos frente a fabricantes europeos y americanos y tendremos la oportunidad de contar con el vehículo BYD SEAL, un vehículo de prestaciones deportivas de gama alta con un precio de una berlina convencional, diseñado y fabricado por uno de los principales OEMs chinos.
En este contexto, el equipo técnico de AIC ha venido trabajando en el desmontaje y análisis de este vehículo y durante la jornada pondremos el foco específicamente en el despiece del E-Powertrain (Motor, Inversor, Reductora, VCU, PDU, OBC,…), Sistema de Baterías de alto voltaje, Ejes Delanteros y Traseros, además de visualizar Elementos del Interior.
Además de poder ver físicamente las piezas, la jornada incluirá una presentación desde la Unidad de Inteligencia Competitiva de AIC donde, entre otros, se abordarán los siguientes puntos:
- Panorama de mercado con especial atención a la electrificación.
- Comparativa de los vehículos Tesla Model Y, VW ID.4 Crozz, BMW iX y BYD SEAL, incluyendo:
- Ejes delanteros y traseros
- E-Powertrain
- Sistema Baterías (tecnologías estructurales, refrigeración, celdas, etc.)
- Conclusiones de las pruebas dinámicas realizadas con el BYD SEAL
Además del evento público, se podrá asistir a una sesión privada para analizar en profundidad el despiece del BYD, incluyendo:
- Presentación detallada del BYD Seal
- Proceso de despiece del BYD en entorno virtual, poniendo el foco en el concepto 8-1 del Power-Pack del eje trasero y el sistema de baterías
- Acceso a la exposición durante 4 horas a sin límite de personas
